In line with YourStory's code of conduct, content created for brand engagements fall under the Brand Spotlight label, clearly carrying the sponsor's logo and/or the line "This article is sponsored by . These are articles that are paid for and controlled by the brand sponsor, and not by YourStory Media Pvt Ltd. The content, even if paid for, follows YourStory's own content guidelines with respect to defamation, libel, etc. The content is written and/or produced by the Brand Solutions department of YourStory and no journalists are involved in the process.
Supported By:
In line with YourStory's code of conduct, content "supported by" a brand indicates that the content is editorially independent and not controlled or approved by the brand support partner. The term "supported by" indicates that the series of articles were planned by YourStory's editorial team, and the senior editors decide whether or not to accept funding from an organization for that seires. The content is written/produced by YourStory journalists and the brand support partner does not have a say in the content that is published. The brand support partner may suggest areas/topics to be covered but accepting these ideas is not obligatory for YourStory. The content is also in line with YourStory's journalistic guidelines.
Advertiser Content:
In line with YourStory's code of conduct, "advertising content" denotes content produced by an advertiser and only hosted by YourStory. No YourStory staffers, journalists or otherwise, are involved in creating the content. The term normally refers to content such as display (banner) advertisements, but may refer to other content, in which case it carries the label: Advertiser Content.
